My only piece of advice would be to get two heaters instead of one, in other words two 500w vs one 1000w.

Refractometers, if calibrated correctly, are much more accurate than the swing arms. If you decide to pick one up, which would be my advice, get the calibration solution to go along with it.

A lot of these are just morphs of oscellaris or percula clownfish which can be put together. I would not but a percula and maroon together but these can be mixed
We have always been a fan of a lot of small colorul fish vs a coupe of big fish. We had:
Pair of clowns
Gold assesor basslet
Flasher wrasse
Barnacle blennies
Helfrichi firefish
Gobies in the sand (Forget which one)

It looks like you just have a bit of it, so I agree with getting it out and just keeping an eye on it for now. Does your tank get any direct sunlight or has the temp been high? I got a cyano outbreak in my 12g years ago when we had a temp spike when our air conditioning unit shut down.
