Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
When I was in that conundrum I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and went to their tupperware section and found what worked for me. I may still have one or two kicking around but I don't think it is worth the drive for you to come get them.
Patience, just keep an eye on them. I know people who have run full SPS tanks at 71, but if the temp swung really fast it might have upset them. Nothing to panic over, just something to keep an eye on. If you want to bring it up, bring it up slowly.
Do not use tap water or rodi water to do this. You will kill your beneficial bacteria and cause a cycle. When you do your next water change keep the water in a bucket and scrub the rocks in there. I beat hair algae long ago in my 12 by doing this.
Step one do the water change and put old water...
What fish/inverts do you have in the tank? There maybe something going after the polyps which keep them in during the day that is not there in the frag tank.
What corals are we talking about here?
What do you feed? Do you dose any coral foods?
People have been successful with it. If you are not a dose and test every day guy you can look at bio pellets which is essentially solid carbon dosing. The bigger question is have you tested nitrates and phosphates
You could probably get away with just one mp40 for the entire tank. You probably want to have it middle high so you don't disturb the sand bed and get the good gyro motion out of it.
