Well I had someone come to me today with this red sea sailfin tang who is about 8-10" and as you can see is pretty well beat up,so I ask what happened and was told he started freaking out in the tank and this was what happened after 2 weeks.Come to find out this fish was bought at a very well...
I have 6 dispar in my reef, they have been there almost a year eat everything and anything foos wise that I put in the tank.Very hardy just buy them when they are eating.
Your right it has a needle wheel and the new pumps red sea is selling are NOT very good.A friend of mine with a shop had a customer shocked BIG TIME when he reached into the tank from the new pumps, he has returned as of now 6 of the new pumps for the same thing.
It's well worth the trip up there but be for-warned Gary loves to talk....Wait till you see his reef system in the shop it's INSANE...And lots of other skimmers and sumps and reactors to look at while you wait.

Awsome lights for the price I have this system and I...
I would scrap the light and buy new if possable go either T-5 or a combo of T-5/MH if your going todo corals.I would also loose the scuba dude and the air stone on the back glass your looking at a case of salt creep in the future with the fine air particles breaking the surface.
Nice fish
If I can find pics. of mine as a juvi and you don't mind a hijacking I'll add my pics as well,I'm at about the same stage as you in the color change.
Do you have a heater or power heads in the main tank?
If so you might want to get a grounding probe this will take care of most if not all of the stray electric current in your tank. The stray voltage can cause this at a very rapid pace.
You can contact ETSS directly and talk to Gary,he sells the glue they use to build them or if your close enough he's in Beacon NY you could take it to him and they would fix it.Nice shop to take a tour of.
