Mark,
I picked up some phytoplankton and have been mixing in a little bit of Coral Frenzy (assuming any dry coral food will do) then target feeding the gorgon every 3 days or so.
The thing is going nuts (plus the other corals are benefiting quite a bit as well).
Just an FYI.

Just wanted to bump this. I saw the LEDS have now dropped to $160 each on Amazon.
I just listed them on CL for $200.
Anyone here want's them I'll do $150 for both.
Need the cash to finish up current tank before new baby comes (want to get a contained sump (Eshopps r100 or r200) and a cabinet...
Today's WTF moment...
I've got a varied CUC with various types of snail and a few red legged hermits. Are those snail eggs on this hermit's shell? Initially I was concerned for some king of parasite or disease, but these things are spaced, are very symmetrical, and seem to have a bit of...
Doing a bit of maintenance and figured I'd fire off a couple of shots.
Met a few of you and have described the tank, but never shared any photos.

Mark,
Timing is everything. This is weird.
Last week I was at the right place at the right time and got a fairly large blueberry gorgon at a fairly small price. Not 10 hours ago, just before bed, I thought... 'self, we have to figure out some stuff about that new coral'. And this morning...

So I have 2 of these that I had on my 40b when I started. They were excellent. Programming is easy as heck. You can sit back and hit some 'fun' buttons once in a while, via the remote, while watching the tank - such as turning down the room lights, hitting the 'storm' effect button, and playing...
I'll just stick with excuses and try to be as creative as possible. Hopefully I wont repeat myself over next few years.

George, very nice. In 11 months you should casually leave a 'modified' listing of anniversary gifts laying about. I'm sure they'll be quite surprised at 'SPS corals' being a 6th anniversary gift.
BTW all, thanks for the wishes. It wasn't a major event nor a bid for sympathy, just felt like s$@t...
Friday evening I decided to continue on with building my son's swingset.
I decided to work on Friday as I expected to be in Secaucus on Saturday.
The last I worked on the set was Wednesday.
So, Friday I decided to bolt a corner brace to a cross support, just under a 4x4 beam I installed on...
Hi Dio,
Im off towards work right now, I'll post a few great links later tonight (or over the weekend) that I used to get up and running.
Its going to be a tough weekend to get many replies from the regulars. There's a huge coral and saltwater show this weekend up in the Secaucus convention...
Roger that, all spoken for.
I'll be at RAP on Saturday morning, volunteering if possible.
Will have the anems in a decent size tupperware container and hope for the best.
They were a very light brown bubble tip. I had a current (as in electric) problem in my previous 40b tank and it split and went into hiding.
I countered the problem a few months ago with a new pump when I transferred everything over to a new 65g tank.
They reappeared soon after with a slight...
New tank has fish and corals thriving but the anems don't seem to be growing over past few months. Each is about the size of a 50c coin.
They're active and mobile with current changes, and on the occasion I feed them directly they readily accept food.
Just don't think tank is doing it for them...
Hey all.
I've got a 20g tall freshwater that I'm looking to replace with a mini reef-ready tank. Was looking at, and am tempted by, the 29 Biocube.
Plan on setting up the tank, running some live rock and some corals, and intro a couple of seahorses in a few months time.
Figured I'd check...
