im looking to get about 60-80lbs of sand for a shallow bed. not looking to have a deep sand bed. i acquired live rock but im drying most of the pieces out, bleaching, and maybe doing an acid dip to clean it real good. I kept about 4 pieces of the rock alive with lots of different color...

sounds like a definite plan. as far as style goes, just looking for a very minimalistic style, almost like an elos stand, if possible. something like this but on a bigger scale of course. let me know if it would be possible to do.

It's finally happening! I am finally going to have a display tank again! :) As some of you guys know, I use to have a 90 display tank, but due to structural issues with the stand I had to tear it down. Since then I have been keeping everything in a very packed and I mean packed 40B Frag Tank...

4-6 bulb fixture would be a good place to start if you are only doing LPS and Zoas, 6-8 if you want to it to be able to handle the mixed bag. I'm going to be going back to T5's on the next build too.
