    iTzJu's 90 Gallon Mixed Reef Adventure :)

Good and Bad News... Bad News first... I will be tearing down the 90 gallon.... :( it seems like the stock stand that I currently have is slowly degrading. It seems like all the moisture and salt creep is finally doing it's business on the stand. I am seeing a slight bend on the supports...

    Caulerpa in the sump

it will be good, just keep it trimmed. it will eventually root itself on the rocks and the only way to remove them would be cutting or pulling them out. you can use a rubberband to hold it onto the rock till it roots itself.

Jun, yes. replace everything you can. That sand or miracle mud can leech out phosphate as well.

    Controller?

I don't have first hand experience with the Apex Neptune Controllers, but if you are going to spend $360 might want to look into this. I highly recommend the RKL but the Apex does offer more features down the line and heard good things! I know a lot of members here run the Apex Controllers...

    Controller?

I am currently using the Reef Keeper Lite "RKL" and I love it. You can also purchase the RKM-NET Module to give you the email notification function. You might also be interested in the Neptune Apex Jr Contollers. I heard good things about those!

    Upflow Algae Scrubber

looks simple enough! thanks for sharing those pictures. do you experience extensive salt creep or the water flow through the screen isn't causing a lot of turbulence?

    Upflow Algae Scrubber

yeah, I don't like the idea of going full blown skimmerless either lol but damn, it seems like these things put in work. Now, I just need to find a way to incorporate it in my already cluttered stand! haha I really like the idea of naturally lowering NO3/PO4 in the system, I mean I do that...

    Upflow Algae Scrubber

Thanks for the link! whoa, people really use these things to an extent. I thought these were just a good supplemental filter. Seems people use Algae Scrubbers as their main filtration.
