Just get the Solaris............ I actually found out that is why it did not seem so bright. My percentage of cloud cover was way too high. It brightens up from time to time but you need to adjust that.

That glue dryes fast and I would be afraid of not getting it threaded all the way before the glue will dry on you! I used teflon on all my threaded fittings and it worked great EXCEPT when you overtighten it! (They will crack!) :0

Wow, now that was an interesting read! I guess people will never watch their children. I hate walking into stores were children are jogging around the store and no parents to be seen! If I would have done that when I was a child I would have a red butt!

I am going to test everything again probably tomorrow and see how it did with the alk because I have the Aq JR for the PH but no real fast test for the alk.

I used Kent Marine Superbuffer-dKH and I only used that because I tested my ALK and it was low also. I needed to get both up.

If I saw this a couple days ago I would have been good with this. I already added some PH buffer the other day and I am doing good at 8.15 now. If it goes back down I will let you know though.

I just got that bleaching from the bottom up on my birds nest! I thought it was really strange becuase normally it would bleach from the top down! Do you think changing the kh will help me also with that?

It does go up a bit during the day but not that much. I have the Solaris LED lights if that makes a difference.

So, I have been having troubles keeping my PH up. It got down to about 7.9 and then I added some calcium (purple up) and it jumped right up to 8.02 and I was happy but a couple days later it is now down to 7.78! Now it is back up to 7.85 but I want it to stay around 8.0 to make me happy. What...
