I cut the lights down half way on intensity.
Blues - 10% now 5%, White 50% now 30%
I did peroxide dose during blackout and will continue.
This is mt 3rd blackout and its impacting coral.
Day seven came last night. Took the covering off and tank walls look good except for a few bubbles on back wall. Sand looks much better but still brownish in some areas.
Lost a few frags from bleaching but they were on the way out anyway. The large Hollywood Stunner bleached in middle but will...
Well day 5 of blackout no clue whats alive. Floss was pretty dirty so swapped it out.
Received the UV and Marine pure today. Dumped Marine Pure under media cup loose.
UV all set and ready to run 4 hours at night. Hoping this all works.
If I only saw this sooner. I have 2 cans of great stuff sitting around as we used it to make structures for my son's reptiles and over bought, was on sale.
Don't want to spend big bucks on UV. Like I stated if the tank goes down not sure I will set backup. Reason being I have no clue what caused this dino outbreak and don't want a repeat if I try again.
Opinion: I plan to order some marine pure for the sump to grow bacteria and this UV. I already started the 7 day blackout so is it worth getting these items?

So going to do a 7 day black out as suggested.
Covered front and right side with black poster board. Back is painted black, left side always had vinyl to block sun.
Also covered all with a sheet.
@jgraz there are tons of articles with many different methods and Vibrant was one of them.
They also suggest dosing bleach but won't be doing that.
The 2 blackouts I lost coral and some fish. Granted the dino played a hand in this especially the fish eating them. I assume no light is why the...
I have gone twice with 3 and 4 day blackouts, peroxide dosing and Vibrant. Just ran out of Vibrant BTW. Already pulled fuge offline, even though wasn't very big. So it seems these guys are going nowhere. Cleanup crew is dead, corals are also dying. It seems to be a lost cause at this point and...
Well R2R thread has many solutions. I have tried most and will continue. Microbacter is suppose to help the bacteria eat up nutrients so dinos starve. Also read raising PH to 8.5 helps, UV, etc. Will not dose bleach as some threads stated. If all else fails its tear down and start over. Not sure...
