option C -get/borrow a large container to cycle the new rock. Set up 75 on March 1st. Bring now cycled rock to the tank and add in. Add bacteria also if needed and then between 3/1 and 3/30, transfer contents of 90 over. You have a lot of time between now and March for the rock to cycle.

by the way - the smell is not dead snails bad yet...just chaeto gone bad or funky stink. The skimmer is going crazy...
