Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I believe that is a Tiger Tail Cucumber. Mine use to do the same thing....and my Red and Black does it on occasion. Neat when you see it for the first time. I can only guess they are going directly for the algae on the glass.
I’m looking for your two cents…….
It looks like I’m going to be putting in a home exercise room and would like to hear recommendations on what type of equipment I should include. Detail / brands would be appreciated as well.
Rob, the two joists closest to below the tank were sister’ed back before the tank was installed. I would have thought that this would have been enough…but obviously not..
The house was built in the late 40’s, where typical floor construction was pine plank sub floor, with ¾ tongue and...
Have you considered on-campus housing? If I’m not mistaken, some of the choices are apartments.
The other thought is that Rutgers offers assistance to off-campus housing….you might want to contact them.
Update on the New Beam Installation
I had to order the Jack Post I needed from Lowes. They originally told me it wouldn’t be in until January 12th or 13th. The day after Christmas I received a call that the post was in. So I purchased four, ten foot 2 x 6’s and cut them to nine feet...
NOTE TO THE EXCUTIVE BOARD: Sobo and Cdiggy need to be immediately excommunicated from the club for there total disregard for the official club beer, and not to mention, the oldest brewery in the United States. This is down right heresy on the part of these two members. You are lucky I did...
+1 to Xavier…..but he left out the most important part. You will need at least on case of cold Yuengling Beer. This is used to attract club members to your house to help with the move. Just be aware that the move is over when the Yuengling is gone…so not too much, and certainly not too little.
You won't need the 4.00. You need the two cal-fluids that "capture" the range you are interested in, so only get the 7.00 and 10.00. Hope that makes sense.
I just received my Christmas gift….my eldest daughter, who is a chef in NYC, and should have worked Christmas day, just showed up at my door. So I’m happy! All three of my kids will be home for Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone.
Pete, your beasts will never cease to amaze me…it’s like going to the zoo of the bazaar. You have the Phyllis Diller birds in your avatar and now this Bat-Cat. For those who don’t know Phyllis Diller, here she is:
Doesn’t she look like the birds in the avatar?
Now what kind of beast is...
John, it would be considerably cheaper if you bought the tank, and leave the little fancy guppy behind. I’ve found that they quickly outgrow the tank, and then become very demanding and hard to keep happy without dropping some major cash. And more important for you since you already have one...
I would not suggest sweating 1/4" tubing....you'll want to use a tubing union....looks like this:
Cut the tubing to eliminate the bent portion and install new tubing using these unions.
