Yes Gary is the owner of AETECH I use a distibutor near his shop and pop in from time to time to see whats new.He runs the 60 on a 400 gallon system and it kicks butt.He's in the process of building an all in one filter like the protein I have but with a 60 series skimmer.
I second the great rating of the sump buddy skimmers.
There is now an external available with a gate valve,the first time Gary showed these to me in operation my eyes popped :o
I don't know about this one I've never seen a shrimp or anything small for that matter get away from one of these guys.I had a 3-4" tusk and put him in a tank with a 6+" puffer and he took a chunk out of the puffer,that could have been a mistake but it was ugly none the less.
you can get some kind of plastic container like the critter cages and fill it with carbon and floss and let the water spill into that or put a hose on the outlet just above your water level so it's gentle that should help your problem.
Getting more stuff in, the old suppliers weren't getting anything worth while and we now have a new guy thats on the ball,handpick fish on tuesday and by thursday the tanks are sold out,tons of awsome mushrooms in now.
Bali fish are very hit or miss with health,some regions there did and still do chemical collection on fish,although illegal it's still happening. red-sea and hawaii are more money but well worth it,don't get me wrong I've seen and had bali fish do very well one example moorish idols from bali...
some of my suppliers have had super healthy red sea semi-lavartus butterfly's nice and fat and eating frozen foods,though this is not the norm for any b-fly most seem to have some kind of glitch in life.Hawaiian raccoons have also been doing well this season just make sure none of them come from...
Well I had someone come to me today with this red sea sailfin tang who is about 8-10" and as you can see is pretty well beat up,so I ask what happened and was told he started freaking out in the tank and this was what happened after 2 weeks.Come to find out this fish was bought at a very well...
