two more weeks before i try to test my luck with the hippo tang!

it took well over 36 hours to clear even after I poured it into my tank with a maxijet 1200 and 2 aquaclear 20ph. i know it's not extreme water movement but it's NEVER taken that much previously.

Is there an available Program/application/tools for retrieving water parameters, etc. for hooking up a server/machine for display? basically using usb devices to pull input of temp, sg, nitrate, nitrite, ph, etc. almost like aquacontroller or those devices that pull information through display.

i can learn almost anything extremely quick. so throw something at me! IT work.

so is there anyone out there that knows if Instant Ocean salt is actually tainted? I guess I'll be switching to another option. any suggestions?

i would have done it if i kept my nano but it's been sold. i have a Reef ready 55 and no hob filter. can't test. sorry. i would still test it if i had readily available tools.

bad was purchased two weeks ago in prep for move. it was in buckets for 16-18 hours w/ph. it was cloudy before pouring bucket up until now. which is well over 24 hours but has shown some improvements. i've never had this problem before. 1.020 - 1.026 is normal and more people tend to say lower...

oh yeah, there was recent threads about issues with Instant Ocean so that's why I am guessing that is the cause of everything.

I recently made a new batch of saltwater about 20gallons of RO/di water. sg: 1.023. The water is showing extremely cloudy. I have no clue what else could have caused it besides the Instant Ocean bag I used.

dastrader, you can check on reefcentral constantly. I've seen multiple ones for free. 400gallon, 120, etc. Unfortunately, I never got picked but someday you might get the chance. so good luck!

i just bought my aquac w/mag3 pump recently from a member on here for 90$. another member was selling for 100. just post in f/s as you mentioned and sure you can find someone selling it for cheap.
