Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I used to collect favias and this one is one that I would always have, great for filling in the backgrounds as the different light intensities and spectrums really shift colors.
I have frags of the Jason fox yellow submarine, I would like to offer up here first before I throw it on Facebook marketplace. It’s a bright yellow, blue with random patches of red that form. The three circled frags in green are $30 and the larger pieces are $60. Please let me know if you need...
Time to get some sps settled and put on rocks for thier permanent locations. I have always been a fan of set it and forget it. I’d love to be able to rearrange coral locations but my rock doesn’t have any pre drilled holes and epoxy is annoying to work with constantly. Getting the time to do so...
What an eventful 48 hours it has been. On the night of July third, the first set of storms rolled through with the heatwave and we made it through the big gusts and downpours. Went to sleep thinking we were good. Woke up at 4:20 am to a warm room. Jcpl first said it was storm damage that knocked...
Had this blasto for over ten years now it seems that because it doesn’t perfectly touch the tile it’s on it doesn’t really grow. I’m to afraid to cut it tho lol.
With salt it really is preference. If you are dialed in with your dosing I would keep the same salt. Everyone has their preference. You don’t have any heavy demanding corals so the extra alk isn’t really needed.
My best advice is set yourself up for success. If you plan to have a reef with sps then you have to keep that in mind with fish and waterchanges. Your fish are gonna drive the nutrients in the tank, only get what your output can handle. Good waterchanges consistently with quality clean rodi...
I never realized I could edit the title. Was originally my biocube and now that I had my tank finally moved it’s time to get it back on track. Thanks Mnat for helping take it down and load it up. Apparently since I wasn’t able to take care of my tank as much as it should, the 130 mls of two part...
Stopped by 732 today and was quite impressed with the selection and color of the fish. Tanks were clean, fish were all eatting and the owner is a standup guy that truly cares for the health of what he sells which is hard to find. Will be back again!!
Anyone have photos of what they bought? I would love to get a clam in my tank at some point and it seems like these shows are the only way to get them where you don’t deal with shipping.
I was not able to attend this year so that’s a few years in a row now. I have been a recluse on this site since my tank has been stored at my mother in laws house. However I will be there next year because thanks to @mnat busting his ass on Sunday and helping me get back on track the tank is now...
Yeah the sand and bacteria are sucking stuff up like crazy, the systems trying to rebalance itself. When you see the coraline growing the sps should look better.
