How deep is your tank, what T5 fixture do you have, type of clam you want? I have a derasa admittedly the least light craving of the bunch and it is growing like crazy under 8X54W T5 120G 24in deep tank. You can probably keep any clam you want depending on the setup .... feeding helps too so...

I second this as a general idea. Take the two guys out. Change the rock work. Add the new fish. Then the two old fish after a while. A dotty back of some sort like Bax said will hold it's own. I have a bicolor pseudocromis that backs down from nothing. What sort of fish have you tried to add...

I was looking at bulbs UVL, ATI, etc and on one site they gave the actual spectrum breakdown.  What I noticed is that what you are saying is true, not every bulb has exactly the same breakdown.  Some say 14K bulbs will have more red but more purple, while some are more in the blue wavelength...

The only thing I saw was hermits too or a copper band butterfly (bit large for your tank...unless you are upgrading ;D)

Sorry the blackworms didn't work. Maybe someone with more experience with Watchman gobies will chime in. My first thought was if something is wrong with him then you don't want to add him to the DT but perhaps I will be outvoted on that.

Yeah second that some good minor snails in there (which I have a lot of) so good to see.

Nice fish .... what are the CBB and leopard wrasse eating? Of course the rest of the tank is sweet as always.

I like my 120 which is 4x2x2. Nice thing about 4ft, fixtures are plentiful. So you really have your choice in lighting. I think the 120-180 size tanks are in the sweet spot in that they are big enough to keep stable easily and not so big as to create a ton of problems/work.

I have to agree with vangvace, water changes and a good fuge with a nano is doable. Plus IMHO the nano sized skimmers suck. So unless you add a good sized skimmer to a nano you are left with an expensive piece of junk.

Re: Here's my now 375 (was 120) by Bax It is funny because I was shocked, mine moved around to place itself right in front of a wavemaker. It is pretty low in the tank though. I am sure it picks up lots of food where it is though so maybe that is why. Of course this is in the back of the tank...

I have one in my tank. I did find another sea cucumber in a tidal pool in Florida...it pumped out a nice purple cloud when scared. The I guess the one I have is like tiger tail...sea turd as we call it. Nothing really bothers it and it is a great CUC member.

No worries I am pretty sure you didn't break your tank on purpose...though that is a thought for upgrading. Just let me know. James
