Tank has been up almost two years... Nice big SPS colonies.. Got a Calcium reactor a while back cause I just couldn't keep up with the tanks calcium consumption. Was letting my controller monitor PH of reactor and add CO when PH got to about 6.9 to keep PH like 6.5. Worked good for a bit... But...
I just found a 55 gallon tank, stand, and canopy in a dumpster by my house. Its gods way of saying I needed to set up a second tank!LOL... Am not gonna drill it so, I need:
-Hang on back overflow
-Sump
-Four foot T5 strip or compact flourecents
Or anything else that might work for me... Please...

I've been doing a lot of reading about using depot tropical play sand in my reef tank. I've read that is has to be Oldcastle, Southdown, or Yardville. Right now the stores have a "White play sand" from oldcastle. I bought it just for hellsake thinking its not the right one cause it...
I am setting up a 90 with an internal overflow for the first time and could use some help. The tank is drilled with 2 holes. One is for 1 1/2" PVC and one is 1" PVC. I'm assuming that the 1 1/2" is the out. If this is indeed for going out to my sump, how high should I keep the water in the...
