i use the medium size one but i have it recirculating the air back into my skimmer which is a Aquamaxx WS-1 and it last me usually around 3 weeks or so, depending but I also use kalkwasser to drive my ph at night like ACI method.

its an older lens but still works well and you can probably find this in a good price now but i use a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro for these shots and I also have a Tamron Tele-Macro 75-300mm. all budget lenses at their time and still are. I'm not professional so i never had the need for quality...

I shoot in aperture priority mode with a macro lens with a orange filter and an Avast porthole. I then use lightroom to fix the white balance. White balance correction is the biggest thing really.
