I used the brs rox for a long time, but the quality went down some years ago and I switched to Seachem's Matrix carbon. It's little tiny spheres, it's easy to work with and rinses fast. The largest size they sell is 1 gallon buckets.

It’s useful stuff. You can make bends without slowing down flow like a 90 elbow would. Plus if you bump into it it’s unlikely to break like straight pvc could.
We’re getting there. Need to build the overflow box, cut out the side for the overflow box, mount then epoxy and fiberglass. 2 gallons of pond armor may might be a bit rough in a 20x10ft room. Prolly wait till next Friday for that.
Well not exactly my tank, but one of my boys is building his first in a series of frag tanks for his new aquaculture business. I’m pretty stoked for him!
It’s 4x8 @ 16 inches water depth. Should hold about 320 gallons with a 150 gallon sump. it’s perfect timing as it seems my display tank...
