So I just did a 30% water change a few days ago and today I noticed a stringy spider web like stubstance which is pink in color and I have never seen anything like it. I was curious if anyone know what it is and what caused it. Also, is it harmful to my tank, aside from it being an eye sore
It looks like you just have a bit of it, so I agree with getting it out and just keeping an eye on it for now. Does your tank get any direct sunlight or has the temp been high? I got a cyano outbreak in my 12g years ago when we had a temp spike when our air conditioning unit shut down.
What should I do about the cyano on the glass? Leave it be and just siphon the stuff floating? It gets a little direct light but I try to keep my Shades closed. No temp spikes usually at somewhere around 77/78 degrees
So just scrape it off the glass and siphon it? When I did that with hair algae it spread like wildfire I just don't wanna go through that again. What's the best way to go about this?
