Any diy tips on how to mount one of these on the side on my stand? I was thinking of busting out the dremel and making a notch but I want to know about any other suggestions.

Its going to be mounted on RS 130d stand

This may give you a few ideas. I have also seen many people make a separate cabinet for their controller and electrical stiff to keep it from under the tank. I did this myself recently.

If you want it connect to the stand maybe do a false wall type deal. Mount the equipment to a board, drill holes to run the wires behind the board and then connect the board to your stand/wall. This make it look cleaner; you could go crazy as well and add LED light stripes to give it a nice glow.
