So I've always used a regular eheim or eheim style auto pellet/flake feeder whenever I go on vacation. A few weeks ago, BRS had a sale and I decided to pick up the Avast Marine Plank auto feeder. I loaded it up with just their reef jerky, synced it to my apex, and had it feeding 6x a day for 1 minute each session ( I actually didn't know how many times it was gonna feed because I just copied someone else's configuration from online). I was gone for 6 days and all my tank got fed was the reef jerky. I came back last night thinking I was gonna have to scrape a ton of algae off the front glass, and to my amazement, it was clean! A couple of spots but nothing that even needed cleaning right away ! Could it be that reef jerky is so pure that it doesn't cause algae? I daily fed nyos pellets and would have to clean the glass daily. But with this....6 days and nothing. Gonna do some more testing and will see how it goes. Anyone else use this?

Interesting. I am going to be in need of more food for my Plank and I was contemplating Reef Jerky, but I read a lot of reviews with a spike in phosphates using it and that there was a lot of powder in the bag. This made me hesitant. Keep us posted
