I was in the market for one this past christmas. I spoke to 3 different people who were selling theirs either because of upgrade or tank-breakdown. They all told me they loved it, but they could only get it to skim wet. I saw one in action and it makes bubbles like crazy, but the skimmate was pretty water-y.
I read that the meshwheel was cheap and had to be replaced/cleaned more often than a needlewheel, but none of the people I spoke to had this complaint.
