cant figure the surface preskimmer box out on Remora

how the hell do you attached the thing? It has screws which "screw into the pump but it wont screw on! Does anyone have a picture of what it should look like? I have an oily film on the surface of my water and I cant figure this box out.

What pump are you using? How mine is set up is that the filter box is under the upper rim of my tank (That's also the my high level water level too). While holding it there I started turning the screws for what seemed like forever. The upper screw sits above the pump and the lower screw sits in the groove of my MJ1200.

When my tank is fully topped off it doesn't look like it is working right when looking at the water's surface As the water evaporates throughout the day the prefilter water level drops and really cleans up the surface. I can't have it set up so that the water is always falling because I don't have an ATO and the evap will lower my water level below the box's holes.
