Chemi-Clean for cyano is great!!!

Well i decided to dose my tank with chemi-clean. At first i was a little scared to add chemicals to my tank but once it was all said and done i am glad i did it. i followed the instructions on boyd's chemi-clean exactly. i turned off the skimmer, uv, and carbon. using an air pump i tied the output of the tubing to the input of my closed loop. this would suck up the air produced by the air pump and the pump would chop up the air bubbles into microbubles and spit them back out my closed loop/Sea Swirl system that i stole from steve68. i hooked up the air pump to my AC Jr. and programmed it to turn on every 15 minutes for 1 minute to oxygenate the water. the instructions say to put air stones in the tank but with a 210 gallon system i figured a couple air stones wouldn't do much. so here are the results:

nothing seems to have been disturbed by the entire process. here's hoping it doesn't come back which hopefully i've corrected the things that were wrong, ie water flow, extra nutriends, and old lights.

now onto the flatworms.......the saga continues

Chris,

Pretty creative idea with the AquaController and closed loop. Any corals annoyed with that many micro bubbles?

I'm out of outlets on my DC8. I'll probably be adding a DC4 nest time we run a PA buy!

no none of my corals seemed to be bothered at all but then again i don't have many. i read some posts on RC about injecting microbubbles every so often on a regular basis. i think weatherson posted them on RC. i'm not sure how he hooked his up probable a more permanant way that what i had. but like i said i would have had to have 100's of air stones in my tank and multiple air pumps to equal the amount of bubbles i was able to produce with one small air pump and some hose. the fish were scared by the bubbles but i don't think it was too stressful on them and it was only for 2 days.
