Chemiclean and airation

Well it looks like I am not going to win the battle with cyano manually. For those of you who followed my other thread, the special blend looked like it was working for a while and things happened so I fell off of the dosing schedule. I will now use chemical unfortunately :-\.

One of the keys to success in not losing livestock is keeping the tank aerated. I do not have any airpumps or stones. My system consists of 2 tanks upstairs and a rubbermaid sump in the basement for a total around 400g. I was wondering if I could just airate by basically creating a venturi on the suction side of the main pump (without airlocking or starving the pump) which would make fill the tanks with microbubbles, Thus aerating!

People recommend turning the skimmer off because it will go nuts so I was thinking to keep the protein skimmer on and having it dump back into the sump (for added aeration) for the two days that it is suggested to use the product.

These two things along with the turbulent path of the water returning to the sump should introduce plenty air in theory. NO?

If your skimmer is big enough to handle 400+ gallons of water, than you should be OK in letting it overflow with bubbles and not needing anything else.
