Coraline Lethal Disease

I was over his place today and can confirm that this is the issue.

My advise was to take a raser blade and scrape off any infected areas, I saw 3 affected areas , and point a power head towards the areas. After seeing this link, further advice is warrented!!! As a base to go by, the tank is well balanced with no issues observed.
My Question is, if this is what it is, what causes it and is there a way to address and mediate it! Any thing that could do this to Coraline alga concerns me!

Who is "he" and what are we talking about?

Declining coralline algae? How is everything else in the tank?

John- his tank looks good no issues that I could see, balanced, salifert test kits, A skimmer that's out of control, T-5 lights etc.
This issue, killing the Coraline is in 3 areas, the link describes it to a tee.

if you have found a disease that kills coralline algae and nothing else, i'd like to have some of it for my tanks. could you put some in a bag and mail it to me?
