DIY SUMP--baffles going in tomorrow

I'm putting together a sump out of a 50g breeder tank i picked up at Aquatic obsessions . Tommorrow I'm putting in the glass baffles. Does it matter which silicone i get ? is the one they sell in petco good enough? or is there a specific one made just for glass on glass? also how many day(s) do most people let it cure before testing the sump?

I think the brand they and everyone else sells is Silicone by All Glass Aquarium. The direction say to let it sit for 48 hours prior to filling the tank. I did that and it worked fine. My recommendation would be to get the large 10.3 oz as you will need that much, otherwise you will spend more buying 2 or 3 smaller tubes.

If it works out well for you, sometime in October/November I'm going to convert my 55gal into a sump aswell, would you take pics during the process and post them for us to see. If you can that would be much appreciated.
