hello! i recently added a purple finger leather to my tank. it has been flopped over for most of the time, which i thought was bad placement in my tank and so moved it to a higher flow. at the lfs i noticed that it wasn't open there. it has not yet opened for me and its been about a week. it appears to stand up when the lights are going off, and mostly at night. it has just recently shed a few days ago but continues to flop to the side during the day and stand sometimes at night. i read that finger leathers need med to high water flow and med to high light. water parameters are fine, so i'm not sure what the problem is.

duh! the only thing i forgot to check was the salinity which was too high. added water, problem solved, finger leather is standing happy and opening now.
