GARF-WAY robbery?

I ordered a $100 item from Garf and got bill $172. Is $72 for shipping excessive for 8 frags? I should have asked about the shipping. I figured since they are more a research type deal it would be more or less a at cost thing.

i don't really know if GARF really does research as they say they do. It seems more like a cover name to sell frags at a premium. How come you just didn't wanna buy frags locally? We have a ton of locals and sponsors who sell some awesome pieces, some for a fraction of the cost, some of which you could hand pick directly from their tanks? What ya get anyhoo?

Did you read my review of GARF? At least you only got swindled on the frag pack.

Oh and did you get the DVD? Leroy is quite the dirty old man isn't he?

yeah my big problem with these guys is:

if you thought the PA website is terrible - you should go see this one! It hasn't changed since I first checked them out years ago.

It boggles the mind how they are considered "non-profit".

$72 shipping is crazy.

Well to be fair, the true shipping costs is $60 as he uses USPS and that's how much they charge. I think he uses their box service, etc. But then he tacks on his "fees." And I ordered his 12 frag special, which was basically the same 3 softies glued onto 8 plugs. Return emails and voicemails never returned.

No, you gotta see this dvd. I hope I still have it. It is hilarious. You see a young college co-ed in daisy dukes and a bikini top making live rock. She is cute but Leroy keeps zooming in on her top and bottom. This goes on for about 5-7 minutes. I felt like I was watching a home made porno. It even had some cheesy music playing.

Umm nope the package arived and the USPS label clearly says he paid $17.50 for shipping.

So the HANDLING WAS OVER $50.00!! :-\

Me thinks I will be contacting my credit card company for a charge back or price adjustment.
The CC company musta lobbied the hell out of the government, everytime I used this route the money comes back really fast.

From now on I will consider GARF nothing but a rip off/scam and will tell others whenever I get the chance.
