Actually got literature about this project with my last bank statement. If you have a BofA account, you can get your debt/credit card changed so purchase percentages go to help this fund. And if you don't, you can get involved directly with the organization.

It's a very good cause, I've been supporting it for 2 years now, I posted about it and past the info along to the club but nothing ever came of it

Tom, as you're well aware, everything we do takes volunteers to run it. Sounds like something that you could spearhead with the conservation committee. Our current set of volunteers are already very busy with MACNA planning. Let me know if there is something you'd like to make happen!

Phyl, there really isn't anything to do except spread the word, If people want to volunteer they can sign up on the web site. There is so much info on the web site we should encourage people to look at it. Maybe put a link on NJRC for project aware? Or mention project aware in the closing statements of every meeting. I understand that people were busy with the frag swap and MACNA but it really doesn't take any work just word of mouth. If you would like me on the committee I'd be glad to help anyway I can.

If people who dive would like to volunteer for the coral watch program that would be another great thing. I don't know if you remember me posting about the coral watch program for divers or not, unfortunately I don't dive so I am unable to participate but since there is so many divers in the club it would make for another great thing the club can do. I feel it would be a great way to be true to the slogan.

I mentioned about getting a rep from project aware to have a booth at the frag swap or even MACNA, hopefully someone will follow up on that
