My yellow tang is swimming in circles! I think he got his fin stuck in my ac70 filter. 55 gallon tank :( 3" tang

my 2" tang sleeps right next to my ac70 filter intake and i never had an issue. was it ok earlier today, an hour ago, 2 hours ago?

He was fine 45 mins ago, the fin is a little damaged not much, I don't understand!!! I put the filter down :)
