is it like "snot"?
it could be any number of worms.
If they bother you - a "bristle worm" trap might be employed - but for most reef tanks - bristle worms serve as part of the cleanup crew.
But if it's like snot then it might be a vermitid snail. Typically one or two is not a big deal but my old 55 gallon was infested with them - so much so that a frag would turn into a "porcupine" in a few months. I would scrape them off if they are vermetids - but that's just me.
