I was right, I was wrong- and I learned

This time last year while recovering from covid, having lots of time on my hands I re discovered reefing and that one could do it without a big investment and have a tank with fish, corals and invertebrates on a budget- so i 'dove' in and bought an AIO nano. I was patient and let it cycle slow with some live rock from a lfs- bought myself a magnifying glass to look at the hitchhikers that came along. That got boring after a while- so I bought some zoas online and realized doing so would cost me a fortune in shipping- more research- found other local stores and hobbyists selling frags cheap

The wrong part- I'm not as patient as I thought- even the fastest growing corals take time. A 13 gal nano was not going to be big enough. Don't believe everything you read- I read about how 'peaceful' some fish are and found out otherwise, how easy some corals are- and maybe not so much. I thought I would be good with the light and power head/ filtration that came with my AIO. I was also wrong listening to those who said I needed name brand expensive lights and pumps

I learned that there are people that sincerely love this hobby and share/ give ( you guys ) I learned that there's a lot I can do/make myself without spending a fortune- lastly I learned that I still have a lot to learn
