Finger coral has thrived for over a year. No changes to tank, now he is greying a looks like certain parts are dying off. Any help?

It is probably shedding it will get a slime coat on it. you can blow it off with a power head. once it sheds it should open back up

Can you get a picture? What are your water parameters? Are the spots that look like they are dying, what color are they?

Without a picture, I'm guessing it's the same thing that happened in my boyfriends tank.. after a week or two they were back to normal and apparently spread to new places in the tank.. If you put up a picture I can tell you for sure if it is the real thing or not
