light fell in sump why plunged in.

I had my light I use for my refrigium clipped on to my 100 gallon sump, and it fell in.It was one of those $10 lights from Home Depot with the clip and a 65 watt buld.you should have heard the noise and saw the flashing.I can"t believe the surge protector or breaker never popped.I had it plugged into my dc8 which I hope is ok.Is there anything I should check or do to anything that was plugged into the circut.

Alright now that the quick warning is out of the way...

Once you remove the light from the tank, take a look at the power cables for signs of damage (blackening, melting, scorch marks, etc)

Do you have a GFCI outlet on the tank? If not I would add one. You surge protector may have gone bad as well, but I can't remember/think of a way to test that.
