Light reccomendations for 90 gallon fowler

Currently have the Deep Blue Solar Extreme T5 - 48" Light and it is running a little over a year now. Problem I am having now with the 48" is when my "actinics only" come on the fixture makes a horrible humming sound. The actinics only are on from 7A to 8A and again 7P to 8P. I lift the fixture off the top of the tank and the humming goes away. As soon as I set it back down the humming comes back. Looking to replace this fixture. Any ideas?

CoraLife and Deep Blue are two different companies with two different lights. If you had problems with the fuge light (Coralife), and are now having problems with a Solar Extreme(Deep Blue) don't hold them against each other. But a 4 bulb T5 would be perfect for a FOWLR. There are any number available, and many can be had used as people make the switch to LED. The problem your having clearly sounds like something is loose or the fixture is sitting "off" on the tank causing it to vibrate. I had a 24" DB and had a similar problem only to find that the legs were slightly askew. I straightened them out and noise went away.

Thanks jgraz and Hockeynut for the advice and clarification...will check the legs prior to looking into Hockeynut's reccomendation. Would assume LED's are not required for a FOWLER correct? Those are geared more towards a reef right?

The Vegas are geared more towards a reef tank. The champion group buy is going on and they have a bunch of LEDs options. Look into there blueline led strips. They put out a pretty good amount of light from a small fixture.
