protein skimmer question

I want to use a out of sump protein skimmer. Question is how would I set it up? Pump in the sump feeding the skimmer, then skimmer back to sump? If anyone has pics of a set-up like this that would be great. Could really use some help. ???

you could have the pump in the sump or plumbed externally that feeds your external protein skimmer. then have the output of the protein go back into your sump.
