Ok rookie, newbie, just stupid mistake.....! the pump was air bound We primed the pump and it works, I shut it off to make an adjustment , and had to prime it again.. Am I going to have to prime it everytime the power goes out or I shut it off to feed ????????

Can you share a picture of how it is laid out? Below the sump water level works best.

If the pump is below the water level of the sump it will prime itself. If it's above the water level you'll have to prime it everytime the power goes out or you shut it off. That is if you're home to do it. You run the risk of running the pump dry with it set up above the sump water line.
