is PVC cement reef safe, i had a leak in my plumbing and someone suggested PVC cement, when applying it, some got on the inside of the pipe, after it drys and i rinse it off, will it be safe to put on my tank ???





The cement is Oatley Rain-r-Shine PVC cement

Go for it. Everyone I know uses PVC cement on their plumbing.

A skim coat will form on top as soon as it hits water and seal it up. As with anything high amounts are toxic, you should be fine.

I used PVC cement on all my plumbing. And believe me, I got more than a little inside, outside, on me! LOL!

I just let it dry until I couldn't smell it anymore, ran water through it, and hooked it up. No issues so far!
