Question for the acrylic experts

I bought an aquafuge on EBay for a pretty good deal, but during shipping, a piece that helps hold the aquafuge onto the tank was broken off. It's made of black acrylic and I'm wondering if you think that repairing it with weld-on would be strong enough to give it support. The aquafuge holds 4.5 gallons of water. Here's a picture:

The red line shows the crack and the light grey lines are drawn in to show how the aquafuge sits on the tank. There are four contact points on the top of the tank including the brace that is cracked.

Your help is appreciated.

Weldon should do the trick. If your not comfortable fixing it, bring it to the meeting. I'll take care of it for you.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll be away that weekend for a wedding. Go figure, it's a meeting that isn't too far from my house. :'( I'm going to be looking for some weld-on around here to fix it. If I can't find any, I may make a road trip to visit you if that's ok.
