Rotifers are not at all picky about whether the phyto is LIVE or DEAD. Rotifers can be fed something like this Reef Nutrition Phyto Feast. Should be able to find it in a local shop. It is normally refrigerated so buying online/shipping is not ideal in the summer unless they pack it right. the most important thing is not to feed the fry starving rotifers. The rotifers must be healthy and chowing down on the phyto (live or dead). Good luck!
Also to be clear guys - he needs ROTIFERS. You cannot see rotifers with the naked eye - it's impossible. A copepod is 1mm in size. A rotifer is 0.1–0.5 mm long. In other words rotifers are 10x smaller! Clownfish fry will NOT eat copepods or pods that are eaten by mandarins etc.
I highly doubt any LFS carries rotifers, but I'm sure the good ones will order it for you. but why do that when you can just have the shipment go straight to your home. Rotifers reproduce like gang busters every few hours...by the time you go to sleep and wake up, more rotifers are born and they are adults ready to cycle it again!
