Traded my Falco hawk away and my chemistry is at near-target levels finally. I have some snails and a pincushion from petco that i got about two weeks ago doing well so time to up the CUC. I’m curious where members here stand on:
1. Types of snails and CUC you seek (I have an opinion and not really looking for guidance per se, just curious); and
2. Where do you stock your snails and other CUC from?
my answers are:
1. Love urchin and fighting conch combo, trochus cerith Nassarius and stomatella snails, and for fish the tailspot blenny. Have a yellow tang that eradicat3d bubble algae fair me. I plan to acclimate some mollies in a side tank and see how that works out for algae control in that tank. I dont anticipate needing any in my main tank but will see.
2. In general I was a petco brick guy, now liking aquatic obsessions and plan to check out ocean gallery. But also have had good experiences with Live Aquaria and for basics I’ll try a local petco if the system looks healthy ansd their saltwater person sounds like they know what they’re doing. marlboro is where I got the snails and urchin from and I’d go back
