T5 Wiring and Heat

The wiring for my T5 fixtures is currently resting on my reflectors. Wondering if this is ok or it is possible that the reflectors could get hot enough to cause the insulation on the wires to melt?

T5s function better with a fan blowing over them. The Par increases and the bulbs last longer. I'm not sure the reflectors would get hot enough to melt. I wouldn't chance it if its possible.

Trying to figure how to rig a fan to cool the lights. I bought the azoo fans, but the dumb things won't fit over the rim of the tank. Looks like they were designed for frameless tanks. Would have been nice to know that when I bought them, but I think I can rig them to work somehow despite this issue.
