Texas holey rock

I have this really nice piece of Texas Holey rock from my cichild setup. Would this be ok to add to a FOWLR, (obviously after sterilizing it) along with live rock. It's a really nice piece and actually looks like reef rock, lots of nice holes for hiding.

If I'm not mistaken, Texas Holey Rock is comprised of a limestone structure. I don't know of anyone who has used this rock for a reef tank application, but i would personally be concerned if anything else may leach out of the rock since limestone is very porous and it may hold a myriad of other unwanted elements. it looks pretty nifty though- maybe do a small test tank first with some damsels?

Yeh that is true, it supposingly keeps PH up because of the limestone. Guess I'll skip it and sell it off on a Cichlid Forum. Poor Damsels, are they the guinea pigs of the hobby :(
