The inability to say "NO"

I was NOT going to buy a Derasa Clam. Seriously! I have been looking for a Squamosa for a while. Honestly, I have.

But...when I saw this Derasa yesterday my heart sank and my wallet opened. :-[

Meet yet another "new" baby. But this is it. I'm done! My tank is full.

Here it is again, next to my Maxima.

And while I was attempting to take "overhead" photos, I realized my "blue" Milli doesn't look so blue. ???

But I still think it's very pretty.

Thanks for looking, and PLEASE stop me from continuing down this path (= willfully opening the wallet)

Lol Wendy...I love that your wallet spontaneously popped open. I definitely have to remember that line.
Well worth it for that clam, he is beautiful!!!!

Kathy, I'm not even kidding. Whatever happened to "self control"? Let's just say I don't think my brain was working at all once my eyes laid eyes on that Derasa.

Eyes catch the Derasa - mouth drops open - wallet opens. Pretty much in that sequence and nothing in between. ::)

And thank you, too. :)

Uhh...yeah... OK... I believe that!

Beautiful Derasa! Can't wait to see the Squasmosa you decide to buy! :)

Self control? Sorry...lol...I do not understand the meaning of that when it comes to pretty corals. My recently upgraded 120 was full after 6 weeks... 8)

Thanks Brian, but unless you literally show me where I can put anything else - I HAVE TO BE DONE. (<--I'm yelling at myself here)

Unless, of course, I either start getting rid of other things, OR upgrade to a larger tank. ::)

Wendy,
cool clam and just so you know a true reefer can always find room ;) I bet I can fit a least 10 more frags in your tank and that's only going by your pic's, I'm sure I'd be able to fit more once I see your tank ;D

OMG. You just HAD to say that, didn't you? Now I'm jumping up and down already for joy.

I'll be taking notes as you'll be pointing out. ;D

I do agree that I saw a few places you could squeeze a frag or 6 Wendy.
Disclaimer for following pic..I did not glue this onto this hermit..it just was there one day and has been for about the last 5 months...interesting though, I hadn't thought about intentionally doing it. Hmmm...
I call this gal 'Scarlett the well dressed Hermit' ;D

ROFLMAO at that picture. NOW I have ideas. Just kidding.

But in all honesty I am extremely hyped about the possibility of having "room for more". ;D

Wendy

Truly a beautiful and unusually colorful Derasa...If you're seriously in this or any other hobby, some things become available once in a while that you MUST NEVER say "No" to...that clam is one of them. :)

As for insufficient tank space, welcome to the club. :p It's a problem that plagues all reefers regardless of tasnk size. :'(

Dom

Thanks so much, Dom. :)

I guess my best (safest) bet is to stay out of stores and to stop looking at pictures and other people's tannks, right? Well that's never going to happen. ;D
