vivid colors in pics

what is the trick some of you use? Do you take pics under just actinic lights or photo shop or what? I don't think I have seen many corals as bright as most of you have. ???

You should get out more! ;D While some (over)use photoshop most of them sharpen to excess but most people don't fool with Mother Nature when it comes to coral colors!

i know colors are much brighter under t5 but is this when the most pics are taken?

Pure Actinic is tough to fight with white balance. If a photo is taken under ONLY actinic you usually know it. Some people's corals are REALLY that bright. Go see Stan's tank if you're anywhere in the area!

i hope to see some at the meeting this month if not get some myself. but i do run 10,000k bulbs i want to get 14,000k

yes, I agree with phyl. Some pics are waaay over sharpened using software. BUT, I must also say that some corals have more of a pop when under 12K lights and above.
