Vortec mp pumps

So I am thinking of upgrading to vortec. Currently have a 55 gal mixed reef and may eventually go to a 90 in the next 2 years. So,first I wanted to know if I can be happy with 2 mp10s? Would these still cut it for a 90 or must i upgrade to 40s? Second, I plan on the es series but I also see there is an mpw es which I understand is wireless. Does this mean that there is no second cord going to the pump? By this, I mean the controller and pump are both connected to an outlet but the controller and pump have no wired attachment to each other? Further if you get 2 mp pumps they both have to be mpw es series to work wireless?

Who's on first, what's on second and I don't knows on third!

I always upgrade so I'd get one Mp40 you can always turn it down for the 55. One mp40 seems perfect for a 90 imo.
As for the wireless part that is used for two pumps to be programed to work together.

Pete you've seen my 90 running with the two mp 10's, it will work and eork well. Since then I've switched them to two mp20's which I plan to upgrade to 40's soon. To be honest if I didn't find a deal on the 20's I'd still be running happily with the 10's.
As for "wireless", Ed said it right it has nothing to do with cords at all and only allows one controller to communicate with another enabling them to work together.
