Want to do a water change to bring down my high nitrate. Do you guys think that 50% on my 110g is a little to much. I been doing around 25% every week for the past month and still seems like it hasent really gone down much.
What is in the tank.... sps, lps etc?
Why do you think the nitrate has been so high? Overfeeding, do you use tap water for top off and water changes, do you use bioballs, etc?
Ken
It is not to much if you need to do it but as Ken asked you need to determine why your nitrates are so high. Other questions would be are you using a canister filter? How old is the tank(if it is new and the right bacteria has not been established yet patience might be the key). How much LR, sand, refugium ect. I think that lus what Ken asked should help narrow it down. Is it a FOWLR?
