wet or dry skim mate, which should i adjust skimmer for?

ok, just got the octopus hob bh100f skimmer with internal pump. awesome unit, hasn't even broken in yet and i love it already...
but the collection cup is adjustable, lower for wet skimmate, and higher for dry skimmate? which setting do you experienced peoples think is better?

choose dry.
if you set it for wet, you will need to sit by the tank to empty the collection cup every hour.

I agree dry,with my skimmer running it super dry I still pull about a gallon of skimate a week.

find the sweet spot in the middle not to dry not to wet.
set it & forget it

Like Steve said. Something in between. If its too dry you'll be cleaning the neck of the skimmer all the time and if its too wet, you'll be emptying out the collection cup all the time. I have my skimmate pouring into a 1 gallon container which takes about a week to fill.
