Actually im reading that I can just insert 1 in. Pvc into the threaded part of the bulkhead. Is this true? Id be worried that it would leak. If this is okay than I will not need any of this

I'm not too sure what you mean in the first part but for the second you should be able to find at a plumbing or irrigation supply place. Or if you have a good hardware store by you they may have it too.

It's called a barbed or insert fitting. If you're coming off a 1" threaded bulkhead get one that is 1" mpt x whatever sized vinyl tubing you will be using. Hope this helps.

That does kevin thanks.

Now im thinking that I can instead just get a slip x threaded 1 in. Bulkhead and then insert 1 in. Pvc into the threaded side of the bulkhead and hard plumb it from there. Is this an acceptable way to do it? Many people were saying to just glue a small piece of Pvc into the bulkhead and then add a union so I can remove it at anytime. I guess im just worried it wont be a tight fit and it will leak but im told that its a pretty common way of doing it

I wouldn't slip a piece of pipe into the threaded side. I can't see that working out. You can get a "male adapter" which threads into the bulkhead and then you can glue your PVC into it.

Or can you just use a slip x slip bulkhead and glue directly to that?
