i upgraded my lighting a month ago to HQI and some of the skirt hairs extend out like as much as half an inch. Is this common? I mean, they look really healthy, they just have "hairier" skirts now. Is this due to the increase of light?

I think it's fine as long as they arent too close to the light assuming it's brighter than the last. prob just reacting to a better light.
